Coffee Tour La Palma from Rural Adventure
ITINERARY
We will depart in a Jeep from the Inmaculada Concepción church in the municipality of Filandia where we will go to Vereda La Morelia, Finca Agua Bonita, 5 kilometers away where 1.5 kilometers are on the central road (paved) and 3.5 kilometers are on unpaved roads ( without pavement), where the host will be waiting to welcome us with a refreshing traditional lemonade or coffee.
Then we will move on to the coffee crops, with the collection baskets made of natural fibers, already in the cultivation we will learn about the processes of planting, harvesting and maintenance of the coffee, after the harvest, we will move on to the benefit process where we will pulp the harvested coffee, we will learn the washing, selection and drying process.
In our last stage of the tour we will learn about the artisanal roasting process, we will thresh the parchment coffee, we will toast the threshed beans, we will grind the beans and we will make our own cup of coffee with a traditional filtering process, finally we will taste an excellent cup of coffee made by ourselves, to return to the meeting point again.
